How To Become A Top-Notch Mortgage Trainer In The Real Estate Industry And What Steps To Take

Love the mortgage industry but hate sales?  Why not consider using your expertise to your own advantage and become a mortgage trainer?  That's what I did.

 

After years of origination and thousands of loans closed, I was burnt-out, tired and bored.  I knew I had to do something different, but what?  That's when a co-worker suggested that I package those sales and  marketing worksheets I invented (the Sink Or Swim Loan Closing System) and sell them as a training product to others in the industry.  With thousands of systems sold, an online training site mortgagebattlecall.com and a full speaking schedule, the rest--as they say--is history.

* Put everything on a cd and package it up nicely with a label, table of contents, etc.

 

* Upload your documents on ebay and you have an instant product to sell.

 

* Make a list of every loan officer, mortgage broker and real estate professional that you know.

 

* Do a postcard mailing, phone call follow-up or other form of advertising to get the word out.

 

* Would your former boss hire you as a mortgage trainer on a contract basis?

 

* No matter what, just start somewhere and do something...even if it is only part-time at first.

 

A lot of you have been asking about mortgage training so I hope this helps.  It's another option to consider given the current interest rate climate we are in at the moment.  Plus with all the people leaving the mortgage business, companies will have no choice but to hire new people to replace them.  Guess who wins?  You do, Mr. Trainer.
