A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM ME TO YOU:

 

If you've come to this page, it means that you're curious about who I am and what we have to offer you. Let me start off by saying that we are NOT some big impersonal company.  I say that because I want you to know that you are dealing with a real person who cares about helping you succeed in the mortgage business.

 

This website grew out of my frustrations with the mortgage industry. Once upon a time, I was a loan officer just like you...struggling to close loans and having a tough time keeping up with the bills. It seemed like everywhere I turned, no one would help me in my office. I became frustrated, disillusioned and was ready to give up. Being on commission-only with no income, I almost threw in the towel. 

 

That's when I decided to fight back!

 

I kept my head down low, watched what the top producers were doing, and took lots of notes. Books full even! I was determined to make something of myself and get these loans to the closing table. Over time, I made mistakes--plenty of them--and lost many deals. But I learned a thing or two over my successful career as a loan originator and now many years later, I'm glad I didn't give up.

Today, I work regular hours, take Fridays off and still have a life (something which is very rare for mortgage brokers and loan officers to have!). Every day, I am still a practicing loan officer facing the same challenges and opportunities we all do. I'm constantly learning and improving my skills.  

Now, I want to share my years of experience with you and help you succeed in your mortgage business. My company, InterMortgage Training is here to help you learn the skills and strategies necessary to win in this business. And that's why my coaching and training website, MortgageBattlecall.com exists...to help you close more mortgage deals, one right after the other.

Some people laughed at me when I first told them the name of my coaching website. That's good. Let them laugh. But, I know one thing...once they hear it, they'll never forget it. Being different, unusual and unconventional is what has worked for me my entire mortgage career and I am not about to stop now. 

 

In a crowded marketplace full of "me-toos" and "wannabees", anytime you can stand out from the mob means you'll get noticed and your message will get across. And if enough people notice you, you'll eventually meet a few people and make a few sales too. Now, that isn't too bad, is it?

 

Part humorous and part true-to-life, the name Battlecall has a lot of meaning behind it. If you've been in sales--even for a short time--you know how cut throat and competitive this industry can be.

 

If you want to succeed and close loans, you've got to have ambition, gumption and--dare I say it--balls of steel (preferable those nice big shiny metallic ones). The mortgage business is not for the weak-kneed or shy. It's one of the most challenging yet exciting careers out there and the financial rewards are equally as great.

 

The truth about Battlecall isn't one that the industry "gurus" and "top producers" want to acknowledge. They'd rather keep their secrets to themselves. We're a small but growing community of mortgage professionals who have banded together to help each other close more loans and make more money. That's the whole reason we exist--and that's why we call ourselves "mortgage warriors". We do whatever it takes to get the deal done.

A SIMPLE FORMULA FOR SUCCESS:

 

1. Decide on a very specific goal.  Write it down where you can see it everyday.  Money goals are the most motivating because money is a resource you can do almost anything with.

 

2. Educate yourself daily. You must learn the quickest and easiest way to originate, evaluate and close loans effectively. Otherwise, you're wasting your time and effort on deals that go nowhere. Learn from others who have "been there" and "done that", so you don't make the same mistakes they did.

 

3. Plan and organize yourself. You must invest your time wisely and put all your efforts into a mortgage training program that you can follow everyday. My goal with this website is to bring you the best resources necessary to help you win loans and influence borrowers.

 

4. Carry out your plan. Follow your plan consistently--without fail--until you reach your goal. And by tracking your results along the way, you'll get motivation to keep on going. Don't get overwhelmed. Take just 1 step a day and at the end of the month you've got 30 steps and have actually gotten somewhere!

 

5. Never give up on your dreams. If you find you need help on something or have a question, just ask me. I will do what I can to make sure you get back on track.

 

6. Enjoy your new-found success. Take a vacation. Buy those "toys" you've always wanted. Do whatever it is you please, and tell the world where to go. Whatever you do, know that you've done it on your own and have made something of yourself.

 

IN SUMMARY:

 

Battlecall is about doing things that other loans officers don't do. That's how you get attention and capture new business. Don't run with the cattle, be a bull yourself.
